Who is clerk?

 A person who works related to maintenance of files, computer typing, data entry, assistance in office management etc. in any government or private institution is called Clerk.  Along with this, the Clerk does the work of presenting the accounts given by the office officers correctly in front of the department officer.

 The post of Clerk is decided according to different qualifications in different departments, in some departments it is kept at Intermediate and in some at graduation level.

How to Become a Clerk :

 To become a clerk, first of all you have to pass 12th.  You can pass 12th from any stream.  Keep in mind that for the post of Clerk, you should know how to use computer and typing in Hindi/English language.

 After this you will have to apply for the job of Clerk.  From time to time, online notices for the recruitment of Clerk are issued by SSC (Staff Selection Commission), Bank, Railways.  For the post of Clerk you will have to apply online.  After this you will have to pass the written exam.

 In the written exam, questions related to General Intelligence, General Awareness, General English, Numerical Aptitude etc. are asked.  After passing the written exam, you have a typing test. In this test, you are taken computer typing test of Hindi and English.

 After passing this test, you are appointed to the post of Clerk.

 The syllabus of Clerk exam includes subjects like General Intelligence, General Awareness, General English, Numerical Aptitude etc.  Along with this, the syllabus of Clerk exam in government and private institutes varies according to the qualification.

Qualification for Clerk :

  • Must have passed 12th from a recognized board.
  • Must have completed graduation degree from a recognized college/university.
  • Graduation degree must be passed with minimum 55% to 60% marks.
  • In some institutions, recruitment is issued for 12th pass or graduation pass candidates.
  • It is necessary to do computer course.
  • It is mandatory for the candidate to have knowledge of Hindi and English Typing.
