A Tehsildar is the revenue in-charge of his Tehsil. The name of his post may be different in different states.  Tehsil is allotted to them by the administration.  Where they have to do all these government works.  Tehsildar: Land-related work, tax-related work and solving problems, loss due to natural calamities, document-related work and many other works go through Tehsildar.

 Talking about the basic qualifications to become a Tehsildar, the candidate should be a graduate in any stream from any recognized college or university.  Apart from this, one should know computers and should have complete knowledge of the regional language of the area where one lives.  The age of the candidate appearing for the exam to become a Tehsildar has been kept at a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years.  According to government rules, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation.

 Getting the job of Tehsildar is not an easy task.  Competition has increased in the country.  If you do not focus on your studies then it is very difficult to clear the exam.  For the post of Tehsildar, the most important thing is your age and education, but apart from this, it is also very important to have a vacancy for it.

 If there is a need for a Tehsildar in any state, then the Service Commission of that state issues its advertisement.  Even if Naib Tehsildar is being recruited in any state, you should also apply.  Whenever there is a vacancy for a Tehsildar in any state, mostly Naib Tehsildars are promoted.  Sometimes direct recruitment is also done for the posts of Tehsildar, but for this, the candidate has to appear and clear the Civil Services Examination.  The recruitment process is according to the vacancy of the state.

The selection process to become Tehsildar :

 To become a Tehsildar one has to go through a selection process.  There are many rounds, after clearing which you can become a Tahsildar.  It is explained here step by step.  To become a Tehsildar, one has to pass the examination of the Public Service Commission of the concerned state.

screening tests :

 When a vacancy arises, this exam is the first exam after applying.  It is also called a screening test.  Those who clear it get a chance to appear in the next round of examinations.  In this, about 150 multiple choice questions of General Knowledge are asked to the candidates for which they get 2 hours.  It is based on the result of the examination whether the candidate is eligible for the next round of examination or not.

main exam :

 Candidates who clear the pre- or screening test then have to appear in the mains exam.  There are a total of 4 papers which are mandatory for everyone and it is necessary to clear only 4 with good marks.  Your ranking is determined by the marks obtained in this examination based on which you are considered qualified for further rounds.

Interview :

 Candidates who clear the screening test and main exam finally have to appear for an interview.  For this, the candidate is called at any place and the officer asks some questions to the candidates.  Marking is done based on questions asked in the interview and the answers given by you.  After this, the final result is released based on the marks of the interview and the main exam.

Tehsildar’s salary :

 If we talk about the salary of Tehsildar, then as Naib Tehsildar his salary ranges from Rs 9300 to Rs 34,800 per month.  Along with this, grade pay is Rs 4800.  Apart from this, when Naib Tehsildar becomes Tehsildar after promotion, his salary ranges from Rs 15600 to Rs 39100 per month.  Also, the grade pay is Rs 5400.  Besides, as Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar, benefits like dearness allowance, travelling allowance, house rent allowance, medical allowance, pension, etc. are provided.  However, different posts of Tehsildar get different salaries.
